Humans measure the value of creatures by their visual beauty and ugliness, and unconsciously discriminate against them. Butterflies and dragonflies are considered beautiful and valuable, whereas ants and flies are considered ugly, and sometimes their discomfort makes it easy for us to take away their lives. This collection focuses on Osamu Tezuka's idea that “humans and other living creatures are completely equal in the existence of life". Inspired by one of his works, “The Chronicle of Human Insects,” the main character, Jueko, was chosen as the design muse. The contrast between her “loneliness and empty mental structure” and her “overwhelming beauty” was linked to the “disregarded ‘ugly’ insects” and the “valued ‘beautiful’ insects. Do they just look beautiful, or is it a feeling of having one's guts eaten away or one's heart ripped out? We would like you to accept what you feel about the constructed details and the supple, rounded silhouette that envelops them.
